12.7x55 ASh

Overview

12.7x55 is a heavy .50 caliber round developed for close quarter operations against heavily armoured opponents. Ammunition varies from 100 grain to 2000 grain loads all capable of packing variably harder punches the heavier the round is. The 12.7x55 ASh performs poorly at range and is generally unable to reach out further than 300 meters.

STs-130 Ball

STs-130 Ball is a 330 Grain copper jacketed lead projectile designed for 25 m to 150 m engagements. It is decent at armour penetration and packs a similar punch to .300WM.

STs-130LR/STs-130PT SPR

The STs-130PT SPR round is a 493 Grain projectile designed to be more accurate than the STs-130 Ball. It has more powder in the cartridge as well leading to higher velocities and better penetration of armour.

STs-130PT2 AP Solid Bronze

The STs-130PT2 is an early generation armour piercing round capable of better armour penetration than all previous rounds. Additionally with its 509 Grain projectile it hits harder than previous rounds.

STs-130VPS AP Tungsten

The STs-130VPS AP Tungsten is a solid tungsten 1200 Grain projectile capable of immense armour penetration at close range.

ST-1000LV/AP API

The ST-1000LV/AP (Low Velocity Armour Penetrator) API (Armour Piercing Incendiary) is a subsonic 1971 Grain Tungsten incendiary tipped projectile designed to under 20 meter engagements of barricades, light armoured vehicles or personnel. It is exceptional at armour penetration at close range and packs an extremely heavy punch however it is incapable of accurate fire beyond 50m.

Understanding the Stats

HitTypicalSpeedAirFrictionCaliber
Hit is the potential damage capability of the round. The higher the number the better, however if it has a low typicalspeed, high airfriction or a low caliber the damage will drop off massively from its Hit stat.Typical speed is the typical speed that the ammunition will travel at. It is measured in meters per second. Ammunition below 350 m/s is subsonic. This represents how much the air affects the round. The heavier the round the more friction it will encounter. Numbers further from the 0 such as 0.0004 is less friction, close is more friction 0.04.Caliber is the raw armour penetration capability of the round. The higher the better.
