All three 6.8 NGSW entries are extremely high pressure and designed to replacepush extreme velocities out of relatively short barrel lengths. .277 TVCM as its referred to is designed to be chambered in the 5.56mmGeneral M4A1Dynamics/Beretta carbineRM-277 NGSW-R entry. 

.277 TVCM is the highest pressure entrant into the NGSW program and M249as squadsuch automaticit weapon in close-combat units,reaches the weaponhighest velocities of them all, it wasis designed for was not selected asalso the replacementlightest however the cartridge garnered interest from numerous nations duethanks to its weightpolymer andcomposite ballistics capabilities.
