GRU Division "P"
Introduction
TheOriginally SSRTAknown as the ЧД АКН ("ChD AKN", or Fourth Department Abnormal Occurrences Commission), it was established in early 1935 by direct decree of J. V. Stalin, its first task being the investigation of the murder of S. M. Kirov. GRU Division "P" is an official branch of the Russian Armed Forces, Division P is the militaryRussian forceequivalent of Taviana,the itSCP consistsFoundation responsible for the investigation and research of aanomalies groundfor force, a homeguard, a water force and an air force. The SSRTA is heavily based on cold war erathe Russian military structure, however it relies solely on volunteers for operations outside of its own borders.government.

In additionand to thecapture groundand forcesstudy anomalous artifacts both home and abroad for the SSRTA maintains a force of reserves called the Home Guard. This force purely consists of conscripted males, the taskbenefit of the HomeSoviet Guardgovernment. isDivision typically"P" patrollingcarried Tavianaon alongsidewith this role throughout the waterCold forces,War, guardingmaking installationsFoundation suchoperations asin the oil drilling platforms and military bases and acting as the nations police in place of a traditional police force. Exact numbers of how many men are active wtihin the homeguard at any one time is unknown, however males between the ages of 18 and 35 must undertake mandatory service for a minimum of 5 years followed by 5 more years of partial service. The rough number of military age males on Taviana is around 650,000 according to a government report in 2019.
The SSRTA also maintains both a water and air force. They are very small in size but members of these forces receive the most funding and training. All pilots go to the Russian federation for training in fixed wing and rotary craft, allcountries of the SSRTA'sComintern aircraftdifficult.
After former1991, rapid restructuring, coupled with budget cuts and the decommissioning or sale of significant assets, resulted in numerous defections of their personnel (A significant proportion of both Chaos Insurgency and MC&D operatives in Eastern Europe originated from GRU Division "P" ranks) and the flooding of the European black market with anomalous items formerly in their possession.
However, around 2017 GRU Division "P" is believed to have received an enormous boost in funding following the events of ██████. Intelligence suggests that to prepare Division "P" for facing the ever growing threat of global conflict involving anomalies it began recruiting agents directly from the ranks of Russian surplus.special Theforces waterunits forceand receiveintelligence trainingagencies.
Division "P" has actively begun opposing the Russianfoundation VMFthroughout asEurope sailors.and across the globe. On numerous occasions Division "P" has conducted raids against Foundations sites, capturing anomalies likely for the purposes of research and occasionally to outright destroy them. However, unlike the Chaos Insurgency - it does not appear that Division "P" captures anomalies with the intent of using them to cause chaos. GRU Division "P" has made an effort to work with the foundation on several occasions to prevent large scale destruction by anomalies.
UniformFormation, Equipment & Capabilities
The SSRTAexact size and composition of GRU Division "P" is unknown. However what is known is that GRU Division P's has two primary groups responsible for field operations. Its primary force which they rely on for field operations is Spetsnaz Group A, a severelygroup outdatedof militaryspecial forces likely drawn from several elite units within the Russian Federation. Several leaked images of Spetsnaz Group A have aquired by the foundation.
Based on the few images available, SG(A) appears to utilise a mixture of western and eastern equipment. Uniforms primary consist of a green gorka suit mixed in termswith Russian and American plate carriers and Russian RATNIK helmets.
Weaponry is primary of modernRussian militaries.origin Allhowever western influence and ideas can be seen in the choice of some of their equipmentweaponry. isIt Sovietappears surplusas discardedthough 6mm marksman weapons are in use by the Russianunit.
Vehicles followingand other support assets utilised by the collapseunit appear to be drawn directly from the Russian VDV (Airborne) with vehicles in use by SG(A) having VDV markings and camouflage patterns. It is likely that SG(A) and GRU Division P as a whole have access to the armories and motor pools of the Soviet Union. Despite this however, the ground forces are well trained due to the cooperation and cross training between the SSRTA and theentire Russian VMFmilitary Marines.should they need it.
Regular infantry of the SSRTA Ground forces is issued a soviet uniform, steel pot helmet and load bearing equipment. Riflemen are issued AK-74 and AKS-74 rifles, machinegunners are issued a PKM and marksmen are issued an SVD with a PSO-1 optic.
The homeguard are often issued the same equipment however some are not issued uniforms occasionally.
