The .44454 Remington MagnumCasull, also known as .44 Magnum or 10.9x33mmR is a rimmed, large-bore cartridge originally designed for revolversrevolvers. andSometimes quicklyreferred adoptedto for carbines and rifles. Famously called "the most powerful handgun [cartridge] in the world" by Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry, theas .44 MagnumSuper has since been eclipsed in power by the .454 Casull, .480 Caning Magnum and .500 S&W Magnum; nevertheless,Magnum, due in part to its moresimilar manageableprojectile recoil,weights itbut hassignificantly remainedincreased velocities. The .454 Casull is considered one of the most popularpowerful commercial large-bore magnumhandgun cartridges in production. It is primarily used for hunting medium or large game, metallic silhouette shooting, and bear protection.
