Toretsk is a small island territory of Russian, located east of the Russian mainland. The island is or rather, was occupied by a population of six thousand people. Due to its relatively close proximity to North Western Canada, it has been under regular surveillance incase of an attempt to utilise it as a launch pad for an invasion. However, roughly a month ago a large seismic disturbance was recorded, originating from the island. Upon observation from a satellite it appeared the islands population had completely disappeared, either evacuated or otherwise.
As a precaution of this the Canadian government, a major member of the CTRG Council, requested a CTRG team be dispatched to covertly insert onto the island and investigate what happend. However, almost immediately after arrival, CTRG-4 ceased responding on comms and has since been declared entirely MIA, excluding any administration and logistics personnel.
