Situation
OnFoundation theIntelligence 3rdhas ofintercepted Septemberreports from a detachment of 20American Provincial Government (APG) troops, indicating the existence of an anomaly that allegedly creates portals back in time. The APG troops stumbled into this discovery while sheltering with a lawless holdout group, the "New Confederacy" (NC), in far west America (Washington State).
The APG troops were sheltering with the NC after being attacked by another regional faction, the "Ascended", observed to have decayed faces and glowing red eyes. The reports indicate that before the APG troops discovered the time-portal anomaly and were wiped out by the NC, the NC shared information that the Ascended were Still Water victims who kept their minds and intelligence.
Foundation Intelligence has raised question marks regarding two important details: Firstly, that the Foundation is unaware of any uncontained time-travel or portal-generating anomalies, which means the one referred to in the APG detachment's reports is currently undocumented. Secondly, the Foundation has yet to observe any instance of Still Water victims having retained cognitive function.
MTF Tau-44 "Phalanx" will deploy to take control the situation and secure access to the undocumented anomaly and anomalous faction of Still Water victims, though this directive will remain TOP SECRET. Publicly, the Foundation has offered to send in a team to attempt to negotiate with the rogue New Confederacy, or eliminate them by force if necessary.
Background
Back in early September, a detachment of American Provincial Government troops(APG) reachedforces made contact with a holdout survivor group in Washington stateState, aftercalling athemselves monththe long"New trekConfederacy" from Washington DC.(NC). The purposeAPG ofdetachment had arrived there on the detachment3rd, wasdirected to investigate the origins of propaganda radio broadcasts coming from the regionregion, conduct general reconnaissance, and to conduct reconnaisance then report backback.
First andcontact allwas findings. Innot thehostile, followingbut dayssoon after, APG forces made contact with a survivor group calling themselves the New Confederacy, no hostilities took place initially. However it was reported soon after initial contact that they were being followed bynoted NC Scoutsscouts observing their movements and that their camp was being observedcamps at night.
AroundAPG 11:00was pmalready on theedge 9thwhen ofthey September,eventually came under a coordinated attack at 2021-09-09 2300h, just six days after entering the region. APG camp was attacked by what was initially assumed to be New Confederacy fighters however upon conclusion ofmistook the attackopposing APGforce troopsas discoveredNC, but revised that theirassessment when they noted the attackers appeared to be decaying and had glowing bright red glowingeyes.
Foundation Reportsagents intercepted these reports from the APG detachment before they could reach command, and the intel was not forwarded, in favour of preventing a panicked reaction from the APG.
The APG detachment repelled the attack and the details of the attack were intecepted by the Foundation and prevented from reaching APG command to prevent panick.
Despite successfully repelling the attack theybut sustained 14 casualties (11 KIAdeaths). andThe 3remaining severelysoldiers injured, at less than half strength and their camp compromised, the APG forces desperately soughtrequested shelter with the NC.NC, Whilewho took them in and gave them information regarding "the NCAscended", camp,the theyred-eyed questionedcult locals about their attackers and discoveredfaction that theyattacked arethem. wellAPG knownsoldiers inlearned that the areaAscended andhad call themselves the 'Ascended'. People who werebeen exposed to stillStill waterWater but didn'tretained quitecognitive changefunction, toand bethat mindless. The New ConfederacyNC had reportedly been engaging in conflict with the Ascendedthem for some time now,- resortinghaving torecently started broadcasting propaganda to sourcetry to recruit new recruits from nearby areasblood to help in their fight to secure Washington as their own and defeatwith the Ascended.fight.
FollowingAfter athree perioddays of radio silence, on the2021-09-13, 13thFoundation agents intercepted another flurry of Septembertransmissions panicked messages were intercepted that spokespeaking of a 'portal back in time', reporting the deaths of all APG troops except the detachment leader, and that onlythe NC had killed them. The Foundation doctored the detachmenttransmissions leaderto wasexclude alive,references withto allthe otheranomalous APG survivors having been killed by NC fighters. These messages were doctoredportal and then retransmitted, allowing APG command to only be aware offorwarded the factreports that APG troops had been killed by the New Confederacy and any details of anomalous activity was excluded.
The foundation is currently unaware of any time travel or portal type anomalies that are not in containment, as such it is believed that whateverto the APG forces- foundbefore ispublicly likely undocumented. Additionally the foundation is unaware of any instances in which people who were exposedoffering to still water and kept any semblance of sanity. As such this situation is of great intrigue to the foundation and immediate response to the situation is paramount to ensure that both the undocumented anomaly and the anomalous faction of still water victims does not evolve into a situation that cannot be handled.
The foundation has offered to assist the APG by sendingsend a team to try and negotiate withwith, or eliminate, the New Confederacy or eliminate them entirely by force if nessecary.NC.

- CAS drone will periodically be available for support. Deployment must be requested prior to operation to ensure it is in the AO on time. It will take approximately 2 hours between refuel/rearm trips.

- Due to the remoteness of the AO Detachment 1 will be deploying via 2 cargo planes. Due to the lack of functional airfield between our deployment point and the AO there is a weight limit for the detachment to ensure that the birds have enough fuel for there and back.
All operative equipment for Detachment One should not exceed 650 kilograms. That allows for 25kg x 26 People roughly. This will be loaded on the first plane.
The second plane is free to carry cargo of any kind and has a total cargo weight of 6500kg. This plane will arrive a week after the first plane.
